51 Musgrave Drive, Yandina Creek was the next Yourtown prize home off the rank for us, high in the Sunshine Coast hinterlands.
A mandatory site visit a few weeks beforehand to see what we were getting ourselves into and then bumping in the day before, to be ready for another dawn start to capture the master bedroom and living areas flooded with natural light. Nothing beats ‘real’ these days. We strive to shoot every room in natural light, following the sun around, to give the audience an honest perspective on the home.
First light, with the ripples across an infinity pool framing the lower third, made for a nice composition. We enjoyed sunlight for most of the morning then the clouds rolled in at 11am, shutting down the shoot. Fortunately, arriving that day earlier meant we had it all in the can.
High winds across the ridge played havoc with the UAV with Greg Weatherall from platinumDRONES having to return a few times to capture the aerials in ideal conditions.
Stills all in-camera on the RED. No re-touching.
